Does the University of Arizona require letters of recommendation? ›

Do you require letters of reference? We do not require letters of reference for admission to the University of Arizona. However, they may be required if you are interested in applying to the Honors College.

Flex In Person courses normally require some level of on-campus engagement. The level of In-person meetings will vary by course as well as environmental factors. Students should check the D2L course site for guidance from the instructor prior to attending the class in-person.

You are assured admission to the University of Arizona if you attended a regionally accredited high school and: Rank in the top 25% of your graduating class, OR. Have a 3.0 unweighted GPA through your sixth semester in the core competency requirements.

You must check the requirements of each program that you want to apply to and make sure whether they do or do not require letters of recommendation. Many of the degree programs do require letters of recommendation, but a few select programs do not.

For every 100 applicants, 87 are admitted. This means the school is lightly selective. The school will have their expected requirements for GPA and SAT/ACT scores. If you meet their requirements, you're almost certain to get an offer of admission.

What is the acceptance rate for U of A? Arizona admissions is somewhat selective with an acceptance rate of 87%. Students that get into Arizona have an average SAT score between 1140-1370 or an average ACT score of 21-29. The regular admissions application deadline for Arizona is May 1.

*Applicants who have graduated from high school 1 year or more before enrolling at the University of Arizona and did not attend any higher education institutions after high school will be evaluated for admission based on their 8th semester unweighted core GPA.

The application process for the FLEX program has several stages, and competition is intense. Only about one in fifty applicants are ultimately selected.

Every year over 35,000 students apply for FLEX, and approximately 1,000 are selected.

To obtain your CatCard you must visit the CatCard Office located in the Student Union. Please be prepared with the following: A government or state issued photograph identification such as a driver's license, state identification card, or passport.

Transcript orders must be placed online or in person. The University of Arizona does not accept transcript orders via fax, mail, email, or phone. No transcript will be released if you have outstanding financial obligations to the university or if any restrictive holds have been placed on your student records.

Most departments typically ask for three letters of recommendation. Enter the contact information for your recommenders on the application. ASU then sends a request to your recommenders when you submit your application. You will be able to submit prompts to your recommenders (if needed) afterward.

There is assured admission for Arizona residents who meet certain requirements: if they are an Arizona resident, attend a regionally accredited high school, rank in the top 25 percent of their graduating class, and have no course work deficiencies as prescribed by the Arizona Board of Regents.

Three letters of reference

Full-time applicants: at least two letters from CSD faculty are strongly recommended for students applying to the Full-time track. Full-time Leveler applicants: at least two letters from an academic setting are strongly recommended for students applying to the Leveler track.
